Pal's Sundance & Debbie Brainard of Colorado Three years ago, I bought a 3 yo KMSH palomino gelding from Roy and still couldn't be happier. Sundance was bred, raised and trained at Greenridge Stables and he's everything Roy said he was. Beautiful, gentle, loving and just the best trail horse a person could want. Even as a 3 yo, nothing we found on the trail bothered him. The buffalo at Ft Robinson, NE, low flying helicopters at Mount Rushmore, SD, and the elk, deer and moose in the Colorado mountains, he took it all without batting an eye. He's a better behaved horse than most 14 yo horses we've ridden with - and that includes other Rockies! If I'm ever looking for another horse, Roy will be the first person I check with. Tobe's Bullet and Kelley Baker of GeorgiaI found my dreamhorse at Green Ridge Stables!!! Just took him on my first long trailride with a group last weekend. Cassi Moore and I Don't Tango - IndianaWe came to Green Ridge Stables looking for a Rocky Mtn Horse for my husband. I saw a lady riding a pretty little horse around in just a halter. I was intrigued, and before you knew it, I was riding him around. He had a smooth gait and was very sweet. We ended up buying two horses that day. We had been looking at different Rocky farms every weekend for months, and as we told Roy, his horses were the first we saw that were exactly what he said they were. Apache's Cruise Control and Charlie & Jude Hall Cruiser is a 3 yo son of Apache. He is coming along very well under saddle and is very smooth just like his daddy, Apache. Cruiser is the 7th horse we have bought from Roy -- we just keep coming back, as the quality of the horses and training can't be topped anywhere! To say we are pleased is an understatement. We can hardly wait to have Cruiser on the trails this spring alongside his half-sister, Darla (a red chocolate Apache daughter). click here for picture of Cruiser & Jude | |
Julie Freeland and her new red chocolate gelding This 3 yo has just been gelded and started under saddle. He has a smooth gait and carries himself well. Apache's Ace of Diamonds - David & Ruth Stoolfire We bought Apache's Ace of Diamonds from Roy Powell as a yearling, Roy broke him as a two year old, and we are so happy with him. He is just a wonderful horse with smooth gaits. We always get compliments about him and people ask where we got him from. In the picture that is the first time we hitched him to the cart and he did wonderfully. You just can't say enough about these wonderful horses that Roy breeds and trains. Apache's offspring are just like him -- gentle, good gaited, level headed and very very smart and willing! He is my dream horse come true! click here to see a picture of Ace & David on trail.
